Nebraska DUI and the Interlock Device

Yes, the Interlock laws have changed once again. From 2006 until now, we have experienced many changes in the DUI and Interlock laws. The most recent such change took place effective this past July 2010. The bad news is greater restriction on work permits and additional requirements and restrictions for persons using the Interlock. The good news is more people charged with Driving Under the Influence are now eligible for the Interlock device. I have attached a link to a chart located on the Nebraska DMV website which serves as a quick reference guide for who is eligible for the Interlock device, along with citations to the relevant Nebraska statutes.

Eric R. Chandler-Personal Profile

I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. I attended the University of Kansas for undergraduate school, and I received my law degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law. Shortly after graduating from UNL, I moved back to Omaha where I worked as a criminal prosecutor until opening The Law Office of Eric R. Chandler in September of 2007. Since leaving the criminal prosecutors office in 2007, I have focused my law practice entirely on the areas of personal injury and criminal defense. I handle all types of criminal cases, ranging from defense of driving under the influence charges to criminal defense of felony assaults and drug charges.
